Your YMCA Summer Update

Well, we're into the middle of July and can you believe our current membership is at 943??!!???  That is amazing!!!!  The feedback we've been getting is that people are enjoying the new equipment that we've received, our wide variety of classes, the spacious Studio for individuals to use when there's no classes going on and our hours of operation.....not to mention the wonderful team we have serving our members.  If you haven't been in to see us for awhile, why not come on in and let us give you a tour and fill you in on some of the latest things that have been happening.

It's great to see that not much has changed for the Childminding numbers which remains quite high.

Our Summer Day Camp started last week and the enrollment has been unbelievable.  We've got approximately 150 kids registered.  Our staff have been kept very busy for sure.

Our Community Youth Network continues to remain busy with lots of activities for our youth.  We currently have our Youth Exchange Program going on and every Friday they have barbeques at City Hall from 11 - 1 so be sure to stop by and support their fundraising efforts.  Also, keep your eyes peeled for information pertaining to their upcoming garage sale.  There'll be lots of stuff to be sold.

Our Cap Site, which provides free internet access to the public, is open to a steady, daily stream of individuals who wish to surf the net for various reasons.  While most individuals are just looking to browse the latest happenings on Facebook, etc. a lot of individuals are seeking help in finding employment, retrieving their banking information or looking to pay a bill.  In any case, we are pleased to offer this free service to our community.

Stay tuned for our next update this fall.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
