EMPLOYMENT

The Humber Community YMCA offers a variety of education and training programs to help Canadians start up small businesses, improve their language skills, find employment and improve their academic achievements.

By offering services such as job searches, career counselling, mentoring, stay-in-school and workforce re-entry programs, the YMCA helps people reach their full potential in life.

Some of these programs are as follows:

Youth Employment Services (YES):

YMCA Youth Employment Services serve clients up to the age of 29..  We assist clients in:

  • career decision making
  • resume and cover letter writing
  • job search
  • interview techniques
  • and anything else required to help youth obtain or maintain employment.

Employment Program

Linkages

Linkages is an employment program sponsored by Human Resources Labour and Employment. Participants are under the age of 29, have a minimum of Level I high school, umemployed or under-employed and non-EI eligible.  Participants work 26 weeks with an employer under a signed contract.

There are many ways you can help the Humber Community YMCA.  Whether you make a donation, become a member, participate in an event or by volunteering your time.  Any contribution imade is greatly appreciated.

Hours of Operation

Mon-Thu - 6:30am to 9:30pm

Fri - 6:30am to 8:30pm

Sat - 8:00am to 7:30pm

Sun - 12:00pm to 9:30pm
