CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

Tabata NEW!!!!! - Beginning Wednesday, June 17,2015
This is the workout fitness experts have been raving about.  Tabata is a basic form of workout and can be easy to follow, through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises.  Each class will blast the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time. Whether your goal is muscle tone, weight loss, or both, this class will provide whatever you are looking for. These bursts of intense work will torch calories and strengthen your entire body. Intensity is up to you as  a variety of choices per exercise group will be offered for all levels of fitness.

Bootcamp
Don't let the name intimidate you.  This class is intended for all different fitness levels and is designed to give you an awesome workout in cardiovascular and resistance while working the room in different directions.  Try it!!!!

30/20/10
If you like a challenge and workout hard, then this class is for you.  With 30 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of resistance and 10 minutes of stretch and relaxation, you're bound to get the heart pumping and the muscles burning.

Zumba
Hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves combined to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away!! Designed for individuals of all fitness levels who are looking for something different and enjoy dancing.

Interval
Circuit is a class suited to all fitness levels. This class consists of a series of strength and aerobic exercises set in your own station where you work independently and at your own pace.

Gentle Gym
Designed especially for our active older adult participants.  Also great for people who are just starting to workout.  This class includes a bit of everything for your body to help improve strength, balance and flexibility and to help energize you for the day.

Step & Pump; Step/Circuit; Step Interval
If you enjoy basic step combinations and patterns using light weights, these classes are just for you.  These amazing aerobic workouts are complemented by a strength and conditioning component that will get the muscles burning and heart pumping!

Yoga
This class is great for all ages and all skill levels. Yoga helps to increase flexibility, enhance muscle definition, endurance, and mental clarity.

Come in and enjoy a wide variety of classes conducted by YMCA Canada trained Fitness Leaders!!
